Development of effective and inclusive food value chains in ASEAN Member States (Ginger Value Chain Project in Nueva Vizcaya)

The FAO regional project “Development of effective and inclusive food value chains in ASEAN Member States (GCP/RAS/296/JPN)” initiated in September 2016 and will end on 31 August 2019. The project conducted the ginger value chain study in Phase 1 (-2017) and implemented several interventions in Phase 2 (2018-), based on the findings of the value chain study. The interventions included various aspects such as training on good ginger farming practice, on strengthening farm groups and on good manufacturing practice, as well as establishment of the demonstration farms, marketing forum,  product development competition, and so on.
