CGIAR - Biofortification Challenge Program
At its annual general meeting held on 28 October - 1 November 2002 in Manila, The Philippines, the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) approved the launching of two "Challenge Programs" (i.e. time-bound, independently-governed programs of high impact research), one of which is entitled "Biofortified crops for improved human nutrition".
