The 1st Session of the Committee on Fisheries (COFI), Sub-Committee on Aquaculture takes place in Beijing, China, 18-22 April 2002. A working document entitled Aquaculture development and management: status, issues and prospects, which also considers the role of biotechnology, has been prepared by FAO for the Session.
