At its second meeting in 2005, the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety decided to establish an Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group on Risk Assessment. The first meeting of the Group takes place on 15-18 November 2005 in Rome, Italy.
