About the event: The event will start at 13:00 hours with an Opening Statement by the Assistant Director-General, Agriculture and Consumer Protection Department of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, followed by a presentation of Development Issues in the Livestock Sector, and an International Panel to present and discuss lessons learned from a range of multi-stakeholder initiatives. Comments and summary will be provided by the Swiss State Secretary for Agriculture. The event will close at 14.30 hours.

Refreshments will be available outside the Iran room from 12:30 onwards

Aims and Topics: At the side-event, selected experiences on novel forms of stakeholder dialogue and action-orientated partnerships will be shared and discussed. This will help inform Conference Delegates, and assist FAO to develop more effective partnerships for sustainability in food and agriculture.
