About the event: The event will start at 13:00 hours with opening remarks by the Assistant Director-General of the Agriculture and Consumer Protection Department of FAO and by the Secretary of State of the Federal Office of Agriculture of the Government of Switzerland. The event will close at 14.30 hours.

Aims and Topics: The purpose of the event is to raise a broader common understanding on the issues at stake related to improving the sustainability of the food systems, and to contribute to the follow up of the Rio+20 outcomes, to the Zero Hunger Challenge and to the 2015- Post Development Agenda
