Aims and Topics: The objective of the event is to present the 2013 Global Statistical Yearbook, a visual synthesis of the major trends and factors shaping the global food and agricultural landscape and their interplay with broader environmental, social and economic dimensions. The Yearbook is a corporate publication and an example of a new collaborative approach to statistics at FAO. It is part of recent improvements to the FAO statistics governance mechanisms to improve inter-divisional coordination, and to strengthen statistics related to food security and agriculture within FAO and in member countries.
