About the event: The event will start at 15:00 hours with an Opening Statement by the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, followed by the Awards Ceremony. The event will close at 18.00 hours.

The special event will be webcast and is open to the media. The FAO Communications Branch will provide full media coverage with audio, video, press releases and social media distribution.

Aims and Topics: The objective of the event is to celebrate outstanding success stories in fighting hunger, and recognize countries’ efforts to attain such results. The event will constitute an occasion for countries to share their experiences and lessons learned in fighting hunger.
