New, unified approaches to end hunger in Africa: Promoting Food security and nutrition

About the event: Panel discussion with invited Ministers, high-level Government Representatives, and the African Union (AU) Commissioner for Rural Economy and Agriculture. The event is introduced and moderated by the Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for Africa. 

Aims and Topics: The purpose of the event is to review the experiences and challenges faced by selected African countries in promoting food security and nutrition. The panelists will share lessons learned and identify priority areas for greater support by the African Union, FAO, and other development partners to build up the capacity of member states for scaling-up action to overcome hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition.
