Rome, 2004, 52 pp. The State of Agricultural Commodity Markets 2004 is the first issue of a new biennial publication that aims to present commodity market issues in an objective and accessible way to policy-makers, commodity market observers and all those interested in agricultural commodity market developments and their impacts on developing countries. It is intended to raise awareness of the impacts of international commodity price movements on the livelihoods and food security of hundreds of millions of people in the developing world as well as the economies of dozens of developing countries that depend on commodity exports for a substantial part of their export earnings or on food imports for a substantial share of their available food supplies.

La Situation des marchés des produits agricoles 2004

La situation des marchés des produits agricoles 2004 est le premier numéro d'une nouvelle publication biennale qui vise à présenter de façon objective et accessible les questions relatives au marché des produits aux décideurs, aux observateurs des marchés des produits et à tous ceux qui s'intéressent à l'évolution des marchés des produits agricoles et à leurs effets sur les pays en développement. Elle vise à sensibiliser aux répercussions des variations des prix mondiaux des produits sur les moyens d'existence et la sécurité alimentaire de centaines de millions de personnes dans les pays en développement ainsi que sur l'économie de plusieurs dizaines de pays en développement qui tirent des exportations de produits une part considérable de leurs recettes d'exportation ou dont les importations vivrières représentent une part substantielle de leurs disponibilités alimentaires.
