This side event will be organized as a panel discussion, with opening remarks and a key note presentation.  Panel members will look at the nexus between climate change and migration, sharing experiences and lessons from successful policies and practices from country interventions. Making agriculture and food systems nutrition‐sensitive and climate-smart

The objective of this side event is to bring attention to the convergence between actions to address climate change and malnutrition. For future planning processes better integration between nutrition considerations in climate change planning processes and awareness of climate change impacts on diet and nutrition are essential. Financial investments will be necessary to ensure that nutrition‐sensitive and climate‐smart agriculture and food systems are in place.

Partnering to scale up climate action by countries in the agricultural sectors

This side event will be attended by high‐level speakers, FAO, partner organizations and countries to launch the new FAO Strategy on Climate Change and look at the role of strategic partnerships in maximizing the impact of the strategy through suporting countries to fulfil the agricultural commitments of their NDCs. The event will also be an occasion to take stock of existing good practices in the field of partnerships on climate change and set a course for future collaboration.
