International fora and online discussions

On a global scale, there is an urgent necessity to better consider the interrelations between agriculture, food security and climate change. The international community needs to establish appropriate links between the international fora discussing food security issues and climate change.

Launched in 2012 by FAO, the Community for Climate Change Mitigation in Agriculture is a network specifically for practitioners who work on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture. Following on from this, a discussion fora related to Agriculture sectors and climate change and another specifically looking at NAMAs in Agriculture were established. They all offer an online resource library and host discussions on relevant issues via e-mail. They are open to anyone with an interest or specialisation in the subject area.
