Forestry

Deforestation and land use change are major drivers of climate change, and also compromise the sustainability and resilience of many rural people’s livelihoods over the long run.

FAO's forest and climate change programme works to enhance national and international action on forests and climate change adaptation and mitigation. It aims to integrate climate change into national forest programmes in support of Sustainable Forest Management.
