The most recent event took place from February to March 2013. The online learning event on agroforestry, food security and climate change was organized jointly by the MICCA Programme and the Agroforestry Programme of FAO's Forestry Department in collaboration with key agroforestry partners, including the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE), Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD) and the World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF). Over 600 participants shared their experiences, and 11 expert presentations were given (see recordings and slides below). - To gather recommendations for agroforestry policy mechanisms, practices and strategic decision making, with specific considerations regarding the implementation of the Agroforestry Guidelines: Advancing Agroforestry on the Policy Agenda – A guide for decision-makers; and
- To contribute to the background document of the International Conference Forests for Food Security and Nutrition (Rome, Italy, 13 to 15 May, 2013).
