This series of videos displays agricultural innovations for livestock and crops and the impact they have on smallholder farmers’ lives

COAG 2018 Atrium exhibit

This year’s exhibit will focus on Innovations for sustainable food and agriculture. The aim is to highlight support provided by FAO to countries in adopting and scaling-up sustainable practices, particularly by promoting agricultural innovation to smallholder farmers. Innovation is a main driver of agricultural and rural transformation. It refers to:

approaches and practices, such as agroecological practices, improved crop varieties, agricultural biotechnologies, or new financial instruments

advocacy and partnerships, including social and institutional processes enabling new policies and organizational forms, while fostering stakeholder engagement

In the atrium, through an interactive installation and a speakers’ corner, it will be possible to explore a selection of innovations covering all these aspects and to learn more on what FAO is doing to transform agriculture and food systems to achieve the SDGs.
