Nigeria meets MDG - 1 goal

Based on FAO’s most recent estimates, the prevalence of undernourishment in Nigeria has dropped from 19.3% in 1990-92, to 8.5% in 2010-12 and thus the country has achieved the MDG-1 hunger target. The number of undernourished people in the country has dropped from 19.3 million in 1990-92 to 13.9 million in 2010-12.
