Congress theme: Climate resilient buffalo production for sustainable livelihood

During the 21st century, climate change has been predicted as the most catastrophic happening which is bound to affect all forms of life on Earth. The impacts are already evident and noticeable. These changes affect all ecosystems and are a perceived threat to livelihood, food security and sustainable development. In the present day scenario and challenges facing the buffalo world, it becomes imperative that all stakeholders dwell upon scientific and technological interventions and possibilities of collaboration while strategizing a path for sustainable buffalo development. It is under this backdrop that the Asian Buffalo Association (ABA), in association with the Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes (CIRB) of the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the Indian Society for Buffalo Development (ISBD), have teamed-up to host the 9th Asian Buffalo Congress (ABC) at Hisar, India right in the home-tract of the world famous Murrah buffalo. The Organizing Committee extends its warm invitation to scientists, students, planners, farmers, entrepreneurs and buffalo enthusiastd for attending the 9th Asian Buffalo Congress at CIRB, Hisar.
