Dimitra CD-ROM 2008

Following the successful 2004 edition, Dimitra has produced a new CD-ROM which contains all of the information to be found on the Dimitra website and on-line database as of 15 February 2008, in English and French.

The Dimitra on-line database lists detailed information on organisations based in Africa and the Near East together with descriptions of those development projects and initiatives they are involved in which actively concern rural populations – and more particularly women – and use a gender or women-specific approach. The aim of the database is to provide a set of best practices and firsthand experiences that may give inspiration to others working in the same field and strengthen possibilities for mutual exchange and cooperation.

The aim of the CD-ROM is to facilitate dissemination of the information collected by the project to those who do not have easy Internet access.

Dimitra CD-ROM 2004

So as to encourage and broaden access to information collected by the Dimitra network to all its members, a CD-ROM of the entire Dimitra website and database was produced and widely distributed at the end of 2004. This CD-ROM contained all of the data in the database and on the website in French and English until 30 November 2004

CD-ROM of the Dimitra Phase 2 Relaunch Workshop

This CD-ROM gathered all of the ideas, contributions and proposals of the Dimitra Phase 2 Relaunch Workshop which took place in Brussels in October 2002. The objectives of the workshop were to strengthen the links between the partners in the Dimitra network; to come together to develop best practices and ‘recipes’ for information and communication for development with a gender approach; and to strengthen bonds with civil society actors and ministries.
