Inaugural workshop: Strengthening the gender and communication skills of community radio stations, listeners' clubs and rural women's networks in South Kivu
Bukavu, DRC - 8-11 February 2007
The inaugural workshop of the project with the same title was organised by Sauti ya Mwanamke Kijijini, SAMWAKI, with the support of FAO/Dimitra, the King Baudouin Foundation and the Comité National Femme et Développement (CONAFED - National Committee Women and Development).

National meetings on information and communication strategies for rural women's networks
Senegal and Uganda, February 2007
In February 2007, two of Dimitra's partner organizations, in Uganda and Senegal, organized a follow up activity to the Dimitra/CTA online discussion on rural women's networks that took place from January to June 2006

Strengthening of the communication capacities of community radios and rural women's networks in Sud-Kivu
Women's involvement in the electoral process, the fight against sexual violence and impunity, gender and DDR (Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reinsertion) and the fight against HIV/AIDS
