FAO and Angola deepen their collaboration

FAO to upgrade its presence in the country

14 February 2018, Rome - FAO is upgrading the status of its presence in Angola to that of a Partnership and Liaison Office, a move that will give the country a greater role in the UN agency’s work and programmes and also enable further support for a stronger family farming sector.

FAO Director General José Graziano da Silva today met with Marcos Alexandre Nhunga, Angola’s Minister for Agriculture, in Rome to sign the new agreement and discuss new programs aimed at achieving food security and promoting family farming.
