Director-General welcomes Brunei Darussalam membership

Brunei invited to get involved in the Country Programme Framework

17 June 2013, Rome, Italy - Brunei Darussalam Minister for Industry and Primary Resources Bakar Yahya met today with the Director-General at FAO Headquarters. Graziano da Silva welcomed the membership of Brunei Darussalam and invited the Minister to get involved in the preparation of FAO’s Country Programme Framework (CPS).

Brunei is one of the three new countries admitted by the FAO Conference in its 38th Session. FAO now has 194 Member Nations, 2 Associate Members (Faroe Islands and Tokelau) and 1 Member Organization (European Union).
