19 June 2013, Rome, Italy – Jordan’s Minister of Water, Irrigation and Agriculture Hazem Al Nasser has expressed his support for the reforms undertaken by FAO and his confidence in the Director-General’s leadership of the Organization. 

At their bilateral meeting yesterday, Al Nasser also underscored the importance of collaborating with FAO in various fields such as  desert locust control and helping small-scale farmers. The Minister and Graziano da Silva further discussed the adverse effects in the region of the current crisis in Syria.
