Messrs Koranteng and Pezennec, who undertook the preparatory mission for the working group, presented the results of their mission to the four countries concerned (Annex 3).
This working group, the report of which was not distributed, brought together scientists from Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Benin, Togo as well as representatives of CECAF. The document is available at CRO, Abidjan.
Past publications on the resources were available: notably the thesis of C. Roy (1990), the Ghana-Côte d'Ivoire joint research programme on the sardinella stocks, part of the thesis of J. M. Ecoutin (1991) on the artisanal fisheries at Vridi in Côte d'Ivoire and the mission report of O.Pezennec (1990) to the Satellite Imagery Processing Unit (UTIS) at the CRO, Dakar-Thiaroye, Senegal.
