10. Mr. M.K. Papademetriou presented briefly the need and rationale for organizing the meeting. He presented the objectives, the provisional agenda (Annex 2) and the details of the programme (Annex 3). Briefly, the objectives were as follows:
a) To follow-up on TAMNET activities, particularly on the results of Hybrid Maize Trials and problems experienced.b) To discuss and determine the work plan for future activities.
