NIGERIA:

Rains were abundant in April in the south, reached the centre of the country in May, allowing planting of rice, maize and sorghum crops. Planting of millet is drawing to an end, following widespread rains in the north in June. Coarse grains are growing satisfactorily. Cumulative rainfall as of the end of June was normal to above normal over the whole country.
