Following abundant rains in May, planting of millet and sorghum is drawing to an end in the north. In the south, the first maize crop planted in March is developing satisfactorily as well as the recently planted rice. Rainfall decreased during the first dekad of June over the whole country, remained light but close to the average during the second and third dekads.
