GUINEA-BISSAU:
Abundant rains in late August/early September benefited rice and coarse grains development. Following abundant rains in June, precipitation decreased in July, delaying transplanting of rice from seedbeds. Precipitation increased in early August and became particularly abundant in late August and early September, allowing transplanting of rice to continue following desalination of swamp rice fields. Coarse grains are developing satisfactorily.
