Review of Last Meeting's Report

10. The Report of the meeting held in Swakopmund[2] was reviewed. It was noted that there were few changes in the objectives of the committee or its mode of working. The issue of Patagonian toothfish was raised in relation to events reported at the last Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) meeting. Further work needed to be done to complete the account of national practices regarding reporting of catches - information had been received from only New Zealand. Other items raised in the report were dealt with under other items of the meeting's agenda.

11. Particular attention was drawn to the fact that participants were listed alphabetically in view of the ad hoc nature of the meeting and not under a national banner - a consequence of objections by one country to such a manner of listing those who attended the previous meeting.
