  NIGERIA

Aggregate 2003 cereal production has been estimated at about 23.46 million tonnes, which is close to average. Cereal import requirements in 2004 marketing year are estimated at about 3.9 million tonnes, mostly wheat and rice, expected to be covered mainly by commercial imports.
