(a) Sun-dried draff containing 10 percent water.

(b) Actual production is between 80 and 100 tons/year. At maximum capacity the annual production could reach 550 to 650 t of dry draff.

(e) Culture of sunflower has been introduced recently and an oil processing plant is under construction at Port-Dauphin.

(f) The expected production is between 5 000 and 6 000 t/year starting from 1981, but it is planned to export the whole production.

(g) Cocoa is cultivated in the northern peninsula, around Cap Haïtien, and also in the extreme tip of the south peninsula (Anse d'Hainault).

(h) Sugar cane is cultivated mainly around Port-au-Prince, and also in the northern plains (Cap Haïtien), the Leogane plain and the Cul de Sac plain.
