In planning for the collection, handling, storage and pre-treatment of Prosopis seed, several important, and to some extent sequential, tasks should be considered. These tasks, identified in Figure 1, are not necessarily all inclusive for all situations, but they do represent the elements in a planning framework that, if thoroughly evaluated, can increase the possibility of realizing a successful operation.
The guidelines to follow have been developed to address each of the tasks recognized in the above planning framework.
