TRANSPORTATION OF FRUIT TO POINT OF SEED EXTRACTION

Packaging bags containing Prosopis fruit are usually transported to the point of seed extraction on pack animals or by vehicle. In either case, the bags should be carefully arranged to ensure air circulation among them, particularly if the distance is great.

The seed processing depot should be centrally located, and all of the facilities necessary for extraction, cleaning, fumigation, drying, and storage should ideally be concentrated to permit required supervision.
