| The first issue of the newsletter, “Biotechnology and Development Monitor”, was published in September 1989. The newsletter is a joint publication of the Directorate General International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Hague, and the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is published in English and reports on applications of biotechnology which could be of special interest to developing countries. Each of the planned 12 issues will describe biotechnology research and applications in a specific region of the world and their possible implications. | |
