23rd INTERNATIONAL SEED TESTING CONGRESS

The International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) has recently announced the 23rd International Seed Testing Congress, which will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October/November 1992 as follows:

Workshop	(date not yet set)
Preliminary technical committee meetings:	28– 31 October
Seed Symposium	2– 4 November
Ordinary Meeting	5– 6 November
Post-Congress Agricultural Tour	7– 10 November
Post-Congress Forestry Tour	7– 10 November

The Symposium will cover the following topics:

producing quality seeds
seed lot potential performance
1. viability, vigour and field performance
2. processing and storage
seed hygiene
seed testing for tropical and subtropical species - problems and progress
seed programmes for developing regions
