19.1 There are under some laws (i.e. Section 52(1) and (2) of the Malaysian Cooperative Societies Act 1993) limits to how much cooperatives may borrow. These restriction/regulations on borrowing must follow lending institution policies only, or are to be incorporated in the banking laws of the country. This issue should not be included in the cooperative legislation.
