Vegetation description

Mangroves are extensive in tidally inundated areas and are composed of Rhizophora sp., Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Sonneratia alba, Lumnitzera littorea, Xylocarpus granatum, Nypa fruticans and Acrostichum sp., increasing in height and declining in species richness eastwards.
