In view of the importance of fiscal strategy to fisheries management, this study was undertaken to provide detailed information and analysis at a country level of fiscal arrangements and results.
Tanzania was chosen for this study because of the variety of fisheries and arrangements. A number of examples are described and the lessons to be learnt from experiences involved have been analysed.
