ABSTRACT

This document is the final report of the Ad Hoc Technical Consultation on the Development and Management of the Fisheries of Lake Kariba. The major topics discussed were: current status of the fisheries in the Lake Kariba national sectors; legislations, restrictions, monitoring, control and surveillance; and fisheries management and environmental degradation issues. The summary of the main recommendations and decisions is shown in Appendix E.
