Source: FAO; -, Data not available
Data for China refers to China Mainland.

These minimum dietary energy requirements are exclusively for estimating the prevalence of undernourishment according to the FAO's approach.

*Minimum Dietary Energy Requirement (kcal/person/day)

In a specified age and sex group, the amount of dietary energy considered adequate to meet energy needs for maintaining a healthy life with light physical activity. In the entire population, the minimum energy requirement is the weighted average of the minimum energy requirements of the different age and sex groups in the population.
