ANNEX VII
Korean-Thai International Farm Youth Exchange Program (IFYE)

This program is operated annually under the collaboration of Korea 4-H Federation and the Department of Agricultural Extension in order to provide Thai and Korean farm youth an opportunity to participate in social, culture and physical activities in agriculture and related fields. Its objective is to allow young farmers to gain innovation, widen experiences in farming which would encourage them to work in agriculture sector and improve their farming career. The principles of the program are :

  1. Participants -
- 2 or 3 4 H members aged 18-30
- 1 or 2 personnel in charge of farm youth development
- total number of delegates from each country is 4 persons
  1. Duration of the course
- 2 weeks including farmstay
  1. Cost of the program
- home country provides round trip tickets for its own participants
- host country provides accommodation, food, and transportation for delegates during the stay
  1. Program contents

- visiting 4-H organizations, farms, orchards, schools etc.

- practicing agricultural and related activities.

4-H leader exchange program:

The program is irregularly operated when needed. The principles are :

  1. Total number of participants from each country are 15 to 20
  2. Participants are 4-H leaders (officials, advisors and teachers)
  3. Duration of the program is 1 week or less
  4. Cost of the program

- home country provide round trip air tickets and all expenses (accommodation, food, transportation, etc) during the visit to the host country

- host county arrange visiting schedules which should include 4-H organization, farmer institutes, schools, farm, etc.
