I'm looking forward
eagerly to an appropriate follow practical

Specific activities suggested included:

-
development of a
methodology to introduce population education to
the rural
youths and practical implementation of this programme;
- all of those already put forward during the group discussions;
-
subsequent workshops
and seminars to be held after the implementa
tion stage;
-
Ministry of
Development/RDSSY to convene meeting involving
appropriate
ministries to sensitize officials about the need for
integration
of population education into programmes for rural youth;
-
formal training of
youth leaders to enable them to pass on the
correct
information;
-
the Ministry of
Rural Development, Social Services and Youth should
continue to
communicate with these groups both in workshops and in
service
courses;
-
the formation of a
steering committee, a secretariat to service the
committee in
future activities, the possible replication of this
committee at
district level to coordinate the implementation of
specific
population activities intended for rural youth;

a meeting with
youth groups to discuss the formation of a rural
youth
association as an umbrella for all rural youth groups.
