OUTCOMES OF THE REGIONAL WORKSHOP ON INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION MECHANISMS OF TSUNAMI EMERGENCY AND REHABILITATION OPERATIONS IN AGRICULTURE, FISHERIES AND FORESTRY
This workshop was one in a series of meetings, workshops, conferences and seminars convened by a wide range of actors in response to the unparalled disaster of the tsunami on 26 December 2004.
One result of these meetings is a large body of documented material available on the economic, social and cultural dimensions of the disaster and the various forms of response. Annex 5 provides a number of excerpts from some of the key regional meetings organized by FAO.
