The Committee on Fisheries held its Twelfth Session in Rome from 12 to 16 June 1978. The session was attended by 90 members of the Committee, by observers from six other FAO members Nations and the U.S.S.R., by the Permanent Observer for the Holy See, by representaives of the United Nations, the United Nations Development Programme, the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, the World Bank,the World Meteorological Organization, and the European Economic Community, and by observers from nine other international organization and intergovernmental organizations.
