Téléangle MHP

Téléangle MHP. The Téléangle consists of two plain optical mirrors, each bearing a go-axial spider-line. The two reflecting surfaces are on the same plane when the instrument is set at zero. One mirror is fixed to the body of the instrument, a vernier graded in minutes. The other mirror is rotated by turning a drum graded in degrees. The axis of rotation lies along the longitudinal geometric axis of the two mirrors.

The instrument can be used for measuring height, length, distance, incline, and angle of divergence of both fixed and moving objects. For measuring angle of divergence, reference points are brought into coincidence on the two mirrors and the reading taken directly from the vernier.

As the vernier of the Téléangle gives readings in minutes, the-standard error of angle is ± 0.5 minute.
