The feed compositional tables provided in another FAO Document (ADCP, 1983) are reproduced here, with a few additions. These tables are only a preliminary guide to the subject. Further, more detailed, tables are discussed and referenced in section 3.2.2. of this manual.
The tables which follow give data for proximate composition, calcium and total phosphorus, and digestible energy.
Some data on the essential fatty acid composition of several lipids are given in Appendix V, under 'Lipids'.
At the end of this appendix, tables for amino acid composition, extracted from NRC (1983) have been provided. Seperate figures for lysine and methionine plus cystine are also given in the first set of tables.
