GRENADA LEGISLATION
Fees to be determined by regulations from the Minister.
(Territorial Sea and Maritime Boudaries Act No. 25 of 1989, sect. 34(c))
-Such fees as may be prescribed plus such royalties or other charges as the Minister may determine.
(Grenada Fisheries Act, 1986, sect. 14)
-Fees for foreign fishing licences:
-vessels less than 9.63 m. (overall length) = $ 1 000 per year
-vessels from 9.63 m. to 19.36 m. (overall length) = $ 2 000 per year
-vessels over 19.36 m. (overall length) = $ 4 000 per year

LEGISLATION
-Minister may enter into access agreements with other states (included regional organizations) and with associations representing owners or charterers of foreign fishing vessels, that provide for the allocation of fishing rights.
-Fishing rights shall not exceed the total resources allowed to the appropriate category of foreign fishing vessels under fisheries plan. -Access agreements to include provision establishing responsibility of foreign state or association for taking necessary measures to ensure compliance by its vessels with agreement and with fishing laws. (Sections 7(1,2,3,4))

LEGISLATION
Local fishing vessel
defined as any fishing vessel: (a) wholly owned by the Government of Grenada or by any public corporation established by or under any law; or (b) wholly owned by one or more persons who are citizens of Grenada; or (c) wholly owned by any company, society, or other association of persons incorporated or established under the laws of Grenada of which at least 51% of the voting share are held by citizens of Grenada.

GRENADA LEGISLATION
-No foreign fishing vessel licence issued, without access agreement in force with the Flag State association which represents the owner. (Sect. 8(4))
-No foreign vessel fishing in fishery waters without valid foreign fishing licence (Sect. 8(1))
-Fishing gear to be stowed except when authorized to fish. (Sect. 9)

-Application and licence to be in prescribed form. (Sections 3 and 4) licence issued after payment of all fees, royalties and other to the Minister. (Sect. 5)
-Licences subject to the following general conditions:
- fishing operations undertaken as prescribed in licence
- no fish trans-shipment without written permission of the relevant authority.
-Master to avoid harming of local fishing operations.
-Additional conditions for vessel with overall length of 60 feet or more: to fly its flag, display identification markings; master to board designated observers, supply them with all facilities.
-Fishing gear to be stowed in prescribed way. (Sect. 7)

LEGISLATION
-Logbook to be maintained on a daily basis.
-Reports to be made at specific times and should contain international radio call sign, vessel position, total catch by species on board vessel at time of reporting and others.
-Any records, logbooks or notifications shall be made in English.
(Fisheries Regulations of 1987. sect. 6)
-Any fishing vessel operating within fishery waters, beyond 3 n.m. shall have on board determined safety equipment and minimum member of crew, at all times.

% = Reports must be made every 3 days for vessels from Norway, Sweden and Faroes when fishing for herring, weekly when fishing for other species .
O = Logbook to be filled out(radio report to be made) after every fishing operation .
* = Country is a part to the South Pacific FFA arrangement which stipulates that licences will not be issued to foreign fishing vessels unless those vessels are listed in good standing on the FFA - maintained regional register of fishing vessels .
