| ICELAND | LEGISLATION General prohibition against fishing by foreign vessels within fishery limits, except under bilateral agreements. (Regulations concerning fishery limits off Iceland of 15 July art. 2, Law No. 41 of 1 June 1979 concerning the territorial sea, the EEZ and the continental shelf) -Total allowable catch shall be determined by Minister of Fisheries and fishing permits to comply with these catch limitations. * = Country is a part to the South Pacific FFA arrangement which stipulates that licences will not be issued to foreign fishing vessels unless those vessels are listed in good standing on the FFA - maintained regional register of fishing vessels .
