ISRAEL LEGISLATION
Fees for fishing licences are the following:
-for vessel fishing with set-nets in Lake Galilee = 470 NIS
-for vessel fishing with other methods in Lake Galilee = 1850 NIS -for vessel fishing in
Mediterranean or Gulf of Eilat with purse sine = 53 NIS
-for trawlers = 315 NIS
-for vessel operating in distant fishery (i.e. in area where Israel has been granted international fishing rights as party to an international convention) = 12 500 NIS
-For each copy of lost or destroyed licence = 18.5 NIS.

LEGISLATION
Fishing vessels must comply with rules prescribed by international agreements to which Israel is party.

ISRAEL LEGISLATION
-The chief fisheries officer may grant a licence to take fish to a fishing vessel, setting forth conditions and limitations.
-Requests for a fishing licence must be made by the registered owner/e of the vessel to a Department of Fisheries Office in Tel Aviv, Haifa or Tiberias.
-A request for licence must include the following:
- full information about the vessel, including means of propulsion;
- area where vessel will fish;
- fishing methods to be used.
-A request for a licence must be made in the form prescribed by Chief Fisheries Officer.
-Licence valid for maximum of one year after being issued.
-Licence must be held on board while vessel is at sea, and must be presented for inspection to authorized official.

-Fishing with trawls in Mediterranean prohibited where water is less than 15 m. deep.
