Epilogue to the first world meeting on salivarian trypanosomes by internet

During this week we have heard much about the problem of salivarian trypanosomosis and its effect on the livestock industry and human health in sub-tropical and tropical countries. It is satisfying to read that many efforts to develop research and improved control methods are continuing in several countries.

We would like to thank the lecturers for their valuable cooperation and support to this meeting and our colleagues worldwide for their VIRTUAL PRESENCE.

Finally, we would like this meeting to form a link between researchers worldwide and to act as the beginning of an era of cooperation on salivarian trypanosomes.

Many thanks dear lecturers and colleagues.

Sincerely,

Roberta Aguilar M. S. Silva and Alberta M. R. Dávila
EMBRAPA/CPA-Pantanal
