BACKGROUND

A previous FAO project on Forest Management in Dominica was expected to produce forest management plans for the Northern and Central Forest Reserves. While a considerable amount of inventory information was collected, unfortunately no such plans were prepared. These plans are of immense importance to the sustained development of forestry.

IMMEDIATE OBJECTIVES

To prepare a ten-year management plan for each of the Northern and Central Forest Reserves.

ACTIVITIES

(a) Collect all available information pertaining to the Forest Reserves.
(b) Prepare ten-year management plans for each reserve.
